Exodus 35:20,30-35
‘…everyone who was WILLING and whose heart moved them came and brought an offering to the LORD… Then Moses said to the Israelites, “See, the LORD has CHOSEN Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic crafts… the ability to teach others… He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them skilled workers and designers.’
God has gifted Artists, designers, craftsmen and women to be anointed with the ability to be skilled in their work. It is not an accident to have abilities that others don’t or chance that creativity thrives among the human race but a reflection of our Creator. As children of God we inherit His characteristics and the ability to think up and make things of beauty is one of them.
I have to frequently remind myself that if I have a WILLING heart God will use me because he CHOSE me to be someone able to produce things artistically.
These talents are from God and he has given us the mandate, not to hide them in the ground through fear but to multiply our gifts through his power.
